It is time for the United States Department of Justice to intervene and conduct an independent and comprehensive investigation of the brutal murder of Luis Ramirez in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania. The Justice Department must send a strong message that violence targeting Latinos, African Americans and other men of color will not be tolerated and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

We need you, and so does Luis Ramirez’s family. Will you join us in making sure the DOJ does its job and brings justice to Shenandoah, Pennsylvania?

Dados nuestros esfuerzos organizativos antirracistas y nuestra siempre renovada esperanza en la transformación social, es con mucho entusiasmo que queremos extenderle una invitación especial al taller Rompiendo Esquemas Raciales. Este se ofrecerá el día 18 de abril de 9:00 a 4:00 PM en la Iglesia de Dios M.B Jaweh Jireh en Carolina. Es un taller por invitación orientado a desarrollar un análisis compartido del racismo que nos lleve a encaminar aún más nuestros esfuerzos organizativos. En el taller se abordarán los siguientes temas:

Naturaleza del Racismo: Estructura, ideología e imposición
Racismo Individual: Nuestra socialización
Racismo Institucional: Las estructuras de poder y su complicidad en el mantenimiento del racismo
Racismo Cultural: Mantenimiento cultural de la supremacía blanca
Racismo Internalizado: Colorismo, Pigmentocracia, y Superioridad Internalizada: Actividades y estrategias para el organizador antirracista

Confiamos que al salir del taller sienta mayor fluidez al hablar del tema y que pueda incorporar un modelo antirracista al importante trabajo que ya realiza. Es nuestro interés, estrechar lazos solidarios fundamentados en mutuo entendimiento y pensamos que este taller es una magnifica oportunidad para este propósito.
